The adoption of BIM has very different meanings and
implications across practices and projects. The promise and
potential of BIM often overshadows the necessary planning and
processes required to implement. A 3D model-based
documentation package for instance has very different
considerations to a coordinated multi discipline federated
model. Understanding these differing requirements and how they
fit with individual practice requirements is part of our

COMPILING project schedules
Documentation remains the core deliverable on all
construction projects throughout the world. BIM models are
increasingly being utilised to improve the accuracy and
speed of documentation delivery, however its not likely
going to be a replacement any time soon. The downside of
digital delivery can be the loss of subtle intentions such
as layout planning, line weights and scale. Our goal is to
ensure the documentation principles of the past are
retained, ensuring documentation packages are able to both
stand on their own and integrate with the BIM model as
required.
